BRAND DESCRIPTION
The owner of the company - Penny who adore cute and vintage art decide to open the company named Summerist.Lab with the special product which is dessert scented candle that inspired by Korean. She is a passion person who took the classes to learn the candle making foundation and keep practice to produce unique products.​​​​​​​
Summerist.Lab create every candle hand-poured by heart. They want their hand-poured design to be a symbol of hope and relief. They want to remind their customer that they have made it through another day and doing great. Summerist.Lab want their customer exercise a pause, acknowledge their own value and always remember to breathe and rest. Their product or service are including help customer to customize their scented candle. They will approach to customer and try their best to fulfill their requirement which also giving their experience about the references design that customer give.
MISSION & VISION
Mission of the Summerist.Lab is to produce excellent quality of modelling scented candle and wanted their customer known their own value and love their own life. Other than that, Summerist.Lab also want to altering mood and emotion states neither appearance or aroma from candle. 
Vision of the Summerist.Lab is to become a reputable handcrafted candle customize making company and a superior manufacturer of dessert scented candle.
CONCEPT-MINIMALIST
To achieve a pure form of elegance, I aims for simplicity tend to more whitespace, limited color palette and better typography. My minimalist design is about to prioritizing the essential elements which is beewax flower shape and fire flame.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Hi! I am Tam Xio Fen, a final year degree student of Graphic Design and Multimedia from the Faculty of Creative Industries (FCI) - Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). My final year project results from my design journey and evolving perspectives. I aimed to push design boundaries, challenge norms, and provoke thoughtful discussions through my project. 

Branding is my area of specialisation and Summerist.Lab is the chosen company. The challenge is to rebrand Summerist.Lab to increase customer satisfication which build the emotional connection with customer as the main objective. Summerist.Lab is founded in years of 2020 on Instagram. The concept of ‘Minimalist’ was chosen and this approach is to capture the target audience that who seeks elegance product and comfort service.

The impact of this rebranding is to give Summerist.Lab a more simplicity and memorable characteristic. That is why the combination of shapes and line art are used in the art direction. Purple and pink color aims to remained symbol of loyalty and  trust. The choice of media(s) and output(s) is driven by business requirements and the main objective of this project.
